I have a very large database. One table is a version control table. The user registers each version of a monthly report. So the table contains - say 3 versions against April's report; 4 against May's report etc.
When the report is opened, it filters against a chosen month. The field the report filters against is "Report ID" (which is repeated in all my tables). The report itself is huge and comprised of a dozen or so subreports. On the title page sub report, I would like to report the absolutely latest version for the month.
When I put the date field on the report, how do I tell it to chose the last entry for the filtered month? Ie, if there's 3 records for April, I want it to return the information in 3rd record. (Again, ie, whenever the version information is updated, the information on the title page will also update).
