Here is a free utility that you can remotely set the property.

I wrote this several years ago.

Here is the Access 97 version:
ByPass Shift Key Utility 97

Here is the Access 2000/2002 version:
ByPass Shift Key Utility 2000/2002

Trick is do not allow access to this app to anyone but you.

I couldn't get your disable shift key explanation to work. Could you give me more detail steps on how to do it. I'm a really slow on access. Thanks so much.
