A while back, I read an article (or maybe a theory that was proven, can't remember) that stated that everything in the universe was basically rotating around one point. Could this be true I wonder?

It makes absolutely perfect sense to me. It's exactly like a programming hierarchy. Consider:

  • Moons orbit around planets
  • asteroid belts rotate around stars
  • planets rotate around stars
  • the solar system rotates around Sagittarius A
  • our galaxy rotates around the center of the local group
  • the local group rotates around a point in our galaxy cluster
  • every cluster rotates around the center of every supercluster?
  • every supercluster of galaxies rotates around a single point in the universe?

Scientists will eventually figure this out I'm sure, but if it is actually true, what does this prove? Some will say nothing. But me, believing in God, would obviously say that it is not surprising. Doesn't that show us perfection? Who in the universe could create such a perfect balancing act of matter? To me, this is truly amazing...

I personally think it proves that no matter how high and mighty in the Universe and object may be, we're all just running around in circles. (lol)
