Hi there, in order to send a 20MB database containing 1 table via email that will only accept up to 10MB of data. Is there an easy way to split this 1 table into 2 or 3 tables and put into separate databases?

Have you tried compacting the database and then compressing it into a ZIP.

I like WinRAR's .RAR format because it is really small for emailing.

Thanks for the suggestion I have tried both of these. The reciepants server will not accept such files.

If you must send databases then I would create multiple databases and export out blocks of record into each so that the size stays under the limit..

Will this be a one time task or will you need to automate this so it can be repeated?

if the zip is small enough, just change the extension to jpeg or anything that will get through the email client

:o

Thanks all for your tips, it seems to be a problem on the end of the recipient not accepting certain file types.

I ended up copying and pasting all the data into 8 separate excel sheets.

Terrible I know!
