Question Splitting Database

Dear colleagues,

I have an online folder on. I mapped it on my computer as a network drive. I tried to split my access database on this drive so that its accessible from the front end globally. But when I try to split it, I get a message from database splitter, the message is (Not a valid file name). I used the splitter own generated file name and many more names but still I get the same message.

What are your experiences with splitting a database on online folder?

i'd try to move the database locally, split it and put the backend in the online folder.
from the frontend connect to it using the UNC path. You probably need a portnumber and an ip adress also.
It's a wild guess, never done this before...

Your not intending to have multiple users on one copy of the front end, are you?

Ofcourse not. Each user uses its own copy of the FE and connect it to the online FE.
