Obviously CanWest is ignoring my comments, but I'll say it for the 3rd and last time and then unsubscribe from this thread. The JOIN needs to be changed to show the Addiction category.

I am sorry. I did not intend to ignore you. I thought I had replied and stated the error that happened when I tried that. I looked back and there was no reply from me. I truly do apologize, I obviously did not hit the submit button
The JOIN type could not be changed because there were no Addictions that were Active. (It was the very first thing I tried on the initial sample.) Sorry I should have said so!
I got that too when I changed the JOIN but those figures include Active and Closed and the OP only wanta Active, hence, the Temp table which only hold Active. The other table holds all.
@GinaWhipp, just had a look and I see what you mean.
I looked at the report and didn't see any change to the count and since you didn't mention the query you made "qryCountAllDisabilities" I was unsure what changes you made.
So I checked out your sample and saw that you used two queries, yhis allowed for the join to be changed. So I decided to apply this to my existing query(s) to see if I could duplicate your work on my files.
It worked. Sort of.
The addictions category did show a count of 0, but the Category beside the 0 was blank. All the other category names show up but not the Addictions on.
