better make an on topic post....

blair done good on northern ireland (but was not the sole architect of it)
blair done good on devolution (except landing scotland with numpties like mcconnell - donald dewar is sorely missed, our one competent scottish new labour politician died too young)
blair done good on EU to a certain extent
blair done good getting clinton to commit troops to bosnia

blair done bad.......take your pick -
iraq
being poodle to bush
dr kelly
whitewash inquiries
spin
wasted potential
human rights act nonsense (although it was mrs blair who drove this, hmmm, guess what area of law she specialises in..........)

Yes he did so well that an army of English builders are heading North to re-build an historic wall to stop any more of our money being sent any further North than Newcastle. The only border crossing is to be located at Carlisle where Scottish politicians are to be refused entry to Westminster. You should have enough money left to run your own affairs for a week........
We the English demand independance!

I see Mr Blair, our leader is lined up for twice daily as often as he wants lectures in the US at 250k (dollars or pounds I can't remember) a pop?

Why did we ally ourselves with the US over the war in Iraq again?

i've heard of lot of english folk saying they are happy for it to happen! financially, the time for independence was 30 odd years ago when there was still oil in the north sea. we had a chance to make it happen back then but bottled it.

labour will never let it happen - they would lose a significant advantage over the conservatives in terms of seats at westminster. if cameron gets in and the snp don't make too many mistakes then perhaps it will happen....

that's the big question. there are opportunities for development and the oil industry is still going to be producing for a fair few years yet.

And of course the light at the end of the tunnel for us is that we won't have to listen to that prat Salmon:mad:

i think you'll be hearing a lot more of him for the next few years anyway!:D

I wonder if he swears at it like everybody else:confused:

He worships it because he knows he can make millions on the US after dinner speaking circuit. When he looks at that flag he doesn't see the stars he sees $$$$$$$ signs

I can't understand why he would be so popular on the US speaking circuit, those who agreed with his siding with Bush I would guess see him as some sort of lapdog, whilst those who disagreed with him, see him best as an idiot or an oil greedy warmonger. Why would you want to hear him speak?

What are these americans thinking????

And before a yank accuses me of being anti american with that statement. I can't understand why the scottish voters have inflicted him on england as our leader the last 10 years either!

Same thing we're thinking about when we listen to the drivel in the forum...

Not only is everyone entitled to a point of view, but if you actually take the time to listen, you may learn something. Or at the very least gain a perception into how the speaker thinks.

Or you could, in the case of certain posters, simply be acting upon certain sadomasochistic tendencies... :D
