My text is too close to the cells edge and I'm not sure how to adjust it.
Is there a setting to adjust the "padding" of a cell?

Thank you

Have you tried selecting a cell and going to Format>Alignment?

On the toolbar, there is a button which increases Indent. Try that

In the end I would like the text aligned to the right with about .1, .2...from the right edge so it's not so close to the text next to it.

If I do indent increase I have to use left text align to scoot the text over and then it looks funny, that's why I described it as padding. I thought I had done this in the past (on an older version (maybe on MS Office 4.3 you could).

Thanks for the help.

Dan, why not just Right Align the whole column then use indent?

Actually, numbers are formatted two different ways. If you want a little extra, then use the comma format button, and you will get the increased space at the right side with proper alignment.

Shades,

Thanks I'll give it a try.

Squidinker,

Right align has pretty big increments and in my case just serves to center the numbers.

And really to tell the truth, I remember having done this before and can't get it out of my head. I am the type of person that when vacuuming, and am unable to suck up a paper clip, will bend down and reposition the paper clip until the vacuum picks it up. Just because I know it should be able to do it.

Thanks guys!
