The diary of Anne Frank is falling behind

Where there are many legal weapons, there are also many illegal weapons. Weapons are lost, stolen, resold under the table.
Are you saying that there is nothing we can do?

Besides the official market, there is always a secondary market. This market adheres less to the law. In addition, there is an illegal market (criminal milieu, darknet).

The secondary market and the illegal market can only be gradually dried up by rigorously restricting the official market. Without the will to do so, things will remain as they are or get worse. Weapons manufacturers and dealers are interested in profit and profit optimization. What will happen if everyone thinks about their own freedom and well-being?

I think that guns have gone ahead of cars as the number 1 cause of trauma, and that number is increasing year on year. There is a black markt, more of a gray market, where people in states that have restrictive gun laws, drive to a nearby state, that has few restrictions, and load up. Happens big time in Chicago. The Arsenal for Chicago gangs is Indiana. Just cross over the bridge and get whatever you want.

I live in California back in the 80s I made a few purchases. I was required to go to the Sheriff's office and be fingerprinted on all ten digits. The fingerprints were checked by the feds. Back then there was a fifteen day waiting period, then you could pick up your gun. The store also is required to file a DROS document with the AFT and other federal agencies. The DROS doc recorded the serial number and my driver's license among other things. They did everything but a prostate exam.

I also took an NRA sponsored gun safety course when I was sixteen.

The AG of Chicago should start handing out hefty sentences for people who use guns in the commission of a crime, but we know that won't happen because culture and demographics = woke.

What state are you mentioning? I live in Texas, and anything goes, it seems.
Well you don't mess with Texas. Gunpowder is in their veins.

I'm in Illinois. Criminals get free rein with weapons and we law biding citizens get the shaft.

They can illegally purchase guns in Chicago. They don't have to go to Indiana.

Why not turn the gun spigot down a few notches. Did you have a problem with the way they handled it in California? I wouldn't have.. We have a gun legacy because of our history in this continent. But the buffalo don't roam any more, and the wild west has football teams, and highways, towns everywhere. In case anyone hasn't noticed, we won the west.

People I know are afraid to go into Chicago because of violent crime. The police hands are tied. They are quitting in record numbers and moving to police friendly areas.

I thought the left loved "equity and fairness" how is it equitable and fair by punishing the 90% for the deeds of the 10%?

Up until 7-8 years ago the gun cases I've been involved in were mainly guns stolen from legal gun owners. There was a pipeline from southern states to Ma. Now the majority of guns I see are ghost guns. You don't need to leave your house to buy an illegal gun . Just order the parts online and UPS brings them right to your door. Some assembly required. IIRC, you only need to drill a couple holes in the frame to get a fully functional firearm. Plenty of instructibles online.

those look like regulated gun parts that are not illegal to buy or own. By definition, ghost guns aren't sold on eBay because the ATF would shut them down immediately if not sooner, but nice try.

frames without the wholes drilled are not illegal and are not considered firearms.

this make you feel better?

Had one a couple years ago who bought parts from ebay. I wasn't about to do it, but dig deep enough I'm sure you can find lowers and full kits. my point was they're readily available and easy to assemble. All from the comfort of home.

As a seller on eBay, these types are products are not allowed. If you see them, click the report button. Online shopping is not supposed to circumvent the law.
