The Doc Man is an MVP!!

Well, this was a bit of a surprise to me as I hadn't seen or heard about this, but I just saw The Doc Man's signature and I had to go look and see and sure enough, he was awarded the MVP award!

He has been a fixture here on the Access World Forums, for several years, and has been instrumental in answering questions and answering them with some highly technical and detailed responses. His contributions have helped me immensely, as well as many, many others.

So, Welcome to the ranks of the MVP's! (and yes, I was at least one of those who nominated you - you deserve it!)

But it doesn’t say if he accepted it.
And if he accepted it why not simply put the fact in his signature.
(Actually I can understand why someone might be an MVP but not disclose it…
they might work for Netscape. )

That’s why I’m confused.
If it’s public then it would be available to the public else it might be controlled by a NDA.
Or it might be true but not available for disclosure on privacy considerations.

Thanks, gang. It isn't marked as "public" yet because I'm trying to take a picture for posting in a way that doesn't break the camera. Got the news a few days ago. But truth be told, I'm up to my arse in alligators right now while trying to drain a swamp at work. We are going through a disaster recovery drill and I'll be charitable about it. Things have gone less than perfect for too many reasons.

At some point I will have that picture and will change the posting to become public. I'm a little slow with the signature and logo because there aren't enough hours in the day sometimes and my grandson takes up more than his share. But then, at 20 months old, he requires constant attention when he's here. First because he's into everything, and second, don't you DARE not play with him. He'll grab you to get your attention, and at his height, that grab might hurt a bit.

By the way, there are some posts of congratulations in the private MVP newsgroup if you haven't been there yet. I'm guessing you might not have made it there yet based on what you've said here. So, I just thought I would pass that along so you would be sure to check it out when you can.
