from Dave Ramsey:

“This morning, I realized that everything is about to change. No matter how I vote, no matter what I say, lives are never going to be the same.

I have been confused by the hostility of family and friends. I look at people I have known all my life so hate-filled that they agree with opinions they would never express as their own. I think that I may well have entered the Twilight Zone.

You can't justify this insanity. We have become a nation that has lost its collective mind.

We see other countries going Socialist and collapsing, but it seems like a great plan to us.

Somehow it’s un-American for the census to count how many Americans are in America.

People who say there is no such thing as gender are demanding a female President.

Universities that advocate equality, discriminate against Asian-Americans in favor of African-Americans.

Some people are held responsible for things that happened before they were born, and other people are not held responsible for what they are doing right now.

Criminals are caught-and-released to hurt more people, but stopping them is bad because it's a violation of THEIR rights.

People who have never owned slaves should pay slavery reparations to people who have never been slaves.

After legislating gender, if a dude pretends to be a woman, you are required to pretend with him.

It was cool for Joe Biden to "blackmail" the President of Ukraine, but it’s an impeachable offense if Donald Trump inquiries about it.

People who have never been to college should pay the debts of college students who took out huge loans for their degrees.

Immigrants with tuberculosis and polio are welcome, but you’d better be able to prove your dog is vaccinated.

Irish doctors and German engineers who want to immigrate to the US must go through a rigorous vetting process, but any illiterate gang-bangers who jump the southern fence are welcomed.

$5 billion for border security is too expensive, but $1.5 trillion for “free” health care is not.

If you cheat to get into college you go to prison, but if you cheat to get into the country you go to college for free.

And, pointing out all this hypocrisy somehow makes us "racists"!

Nothing makes sense anymore, no values, no morals, no civility and people are dying of a Chinese virus, but it is racist to refer to it as Chinese even though it began in China.

We are clearly living in an upside-down world where right is wrong and wrong is right, where moral is immoral and immoral is moral, where good is evil and evil is good, where killing murderers is wrong, but killing innocent babies is right.

Wake up America. The great unsinkable ship Titanic America has hit an iceberg, is taking on water and sinking fast."

Thanks NG.

I read Vassago's message last night before bed and it really bummed me out, you can hear the pain his family is going thru.

While reading the quote from Ramsey it reminded me of an old news guy named George Putman. George used to talk about the cycle of bondage. The cycle of bondage is not restricted to the USA it is a story of humanity.

Need to bypass a few of those unacceptable things and go straight to courage.

This morning I had a minor eureka moment. A pundit was discussing some economic issue, the backdrop being the Capital, he pointed to it over his shoulder. Obviously pointing the finger of blame at Congress concerning his economic point. My eureka moment from that, Congress and even some members of the Trump administration have been consumed by sanctimonious outrage over the "peaceful protest" invading the Capital building. The eureka issue is that those who are flagrantly expressing their sanctimonious outrage, have themselves failed to do their job of running the country. The public is understandably outraged.

Of course that does not justify temporarily occupying the Capital building and threatening those inside. Nevertheless, many of those expressing sanctimonious outrage are hypocrites. As one example of many, were was the outrage by Democrats over the Me2 movement confronting then Senator Jeff Flake? Recall Maxine Waters a member of Congress actually inciting violence by calling on people to accost those supporting Trump. There needs to be greater self-awareness by those tossing the self-serving blame grenades that they may be just as ethically corrupt as the person they are attempting to smear. To be ehtical, maybe all those calling for Trump to resign or to be impeached should show some integrity and resign themselves (referring to members of Congress). Instead of smearing those expressing their right of free speech, the politicians need to start doing their job. They set the stage for this, by not.

Absolutely. It's frustrating to me when people will point out the flaws of the other political party, to which the other side will reply with "yeah, but how about when your side did this?!?"

Both sides are too busy behaving like rabid sports fans, cheering their side no matter how much their team sucks...never realizing that the problem is the asleep-at-the-wheel jackasses they are defending and NOT the fans. Pure madness...

Not that I agree with all of it, but it's near enough hit the nail on the head....
While I'm curious as to what parts you are at odds with, I do not blame you if you choose not to divulge. People will waste their time trying to argue their point and convert you instead of trying to HEAR what you have to say. If they would just STFU, they might learn something.

NG likes Ramsey cause they look alike but Ramsey has more hair.
Don't hate me because I'm so sexy Moke...no need to be jealous, I'm sure somebody somewhere finds you attractive. You could always reach out to NVA if you get too desperate

There's someone for everyone they say. Mind you the hardest thing I had to learn was that some people just don't like you. As far as I can tell there's no rhyme or reason to it, it's just something twigs with them. My cousin told me his wife dislikes me. It's his second wife, and I don't think he's been married to her all that long. I only recall meeting her about 3 times.

Just no accounting for some people's taste...or lack thereof

I don't know, there are a couple of people I took a dislike to and I don't know why really. I know women are very sensitive to smell, and I would imagine I smell, being a sweaty person, I smell more than most!

It's like it's some sort of Instinct, you've probably got no logical control over it...

I'm not smart enough to know who's shaking the jar, so it's back to pulling on liberal legs. :D

Although there is such a thing as a bad first impression, I firmly believe that long-term over a large group of people, it is the way you treat others that feeds back to the way they treat you. Unless you are unlucky enough to run across a sociopath personality type.

So if someone doesn't like you, you can often turn it around. You just have to watch out for the aberrant personalities out there.

Above all else, be kind. That last remark is verging on the exact kind of comments that got the Hare Krishna guy banned.

You surely don't want to continue that line of discussion that might lead to exposure of your shortcomings.

WhatAboutism

Unfortunately I see this is becoming more prevalent in general society also as a lot of these new-age woke people seem to really like to argue yet they lack a solid basis or sufficient information to actually participate in any form of cogent debate.
