More of a question that can turn into a suggestion.
The Scales icon to click to add to a users Reputation

Does that Reputation submision display anywhere?
Does it just fall into the Bit-Bucket?
Naturally, I have not had a good reputation, lucky for me it has not shown up on on this forum! Then, there is the reputation regarding my comments on the forum that don't seem to show up anywhre either.

The page iwth the TOP POSTERS is nice.

As Faceebook has taught us nothing so lets not follow that model, a reputation rating could be interesting.

I believe the scales are the basis for the little green (hopefully) squares at the bottom of your info to the left of your post. More clicks on your scales = more reputation, represented by more boxes. Negative reputation can result in red boxes, which I've seen on a couple of people. Vassago probably knows more about this.

I don't know the detail of the reputation system but it is mired in complexity in that to give a rep points , as opposed to just clicking the scales, one has to qualify based on some unknown algorithm concerning number of posts and time on the forum, the more of these the more points awarded per click.
The latest reps given, or attempted to be given, are visible to the user in the user cp. the problem is that many people attempt to give reps before they qualify, plus you have to spread reps around so that if on separate occasions the same poster helps you you may not give them a second bunch of points if you have not given any to others in between.

The green boxes are awarded , I think, one for every 100 points.

I've given you a rep so that if you go into your cp you can see what happens

Ah! Those three rows of red squares that go across my profile.

Since they were under the word "Posts" I assumed it had to do something with how many post a person had. Now, I see that hovering over those green squares provides some level of ratings. Naturally, it indirectly relates to the number of post.
It seemed so simple! :o
Now I can say, Everything has been figured out, except how to hide my ignorance.

Well, this interface is much easier than my Smartphone when it comes to embarasement recovery. B.T.W. I will never respond to all and then text a response with the word duck again.

Checked out my profile, no sign of it.
Search for members from the list, the Reputation is a column that can be sorted.
But, what we type in is evidently not avalable.
Maybe in the future, I will just Approve and not waste time adding details?
Just added to both of your Reputations, no comments.
Went back for a second time. Was informed that "you can not give reputation to the same post a second time"
