My family is from around Bessemer, Alabama, which is where I will be buried (if my wishes are carried out.)

We sometimes can bury in New Orleans depending on where the cemetery is located. Not all of the city is below sea level. However, we have strict rules about how many caskets can go in a particular plot - and there is no such thing as burying in a metal casket unless you have an above-ground vault.

To be honest, it doesn't matter to me. I won't feel a thing either way. AND in some soils, alkaline decomposition is what occurs anyway,
