Up until recently, anytime I had a Chrome window open and "grabbed" a tab from the top and dashed it down a few inches (then let go), it would not only de-dock but also re-maximize automatically. I always felt impressed by this excellent intuitive thing (cuz who would grab a tab off of a maximized window, but then want it to be unmaximized once de-docked??)

Now that doesn't happen. I grab a tab from the top of a window with several tabs, drag it an inch or two down and let go, and it's small. I have to then manually maximize it every time.

Misery loves company, don't be shy. Or tell me how to fix it ha ha

If you move it to another monitor and drop it near the top it does maximise?

Not something I have ever done I must admit.

However just trying now, it does the same thing for me.
I am on Version 101.0.4951.67 (Official Build) (32-bit)

Now on Version 102.0.5005.63 (Official Build) (32-bit) and still does the same thing?

try a different browser? I use Chrome primarily and it does what you want (at the moment!)

Chrome's behavior on my machine is the same as yours (Isaac), and I agree that is a 'purt near cool feature.

Disclaimer: I detest Edge - mainly for the way MS is shoving it down our throats and that is just substandard for the corporate world.

...BUT...

The little icons in the taskbar is 'purt new cool too....

Oh yes the normal Windows functions still work including snapping objects to the top and maximizing them by doing so.
This on the other hand always felt like a chrome feature.
