Transpose????? Help!

I have two columns named group_id and customer #. Example of data below.

group_id and customer #

1 890
1 990
1 567
2 111
2 132

Here is what I want to do using Access or Excel.

Group by group_id and transpose customer numbers in a row with a pipe delimiter.

expected results:

1|890|990|567
2|111|132

Please Help!

What is not clear in this post?

I am trying to transpose data based on the example outlined in the post.

Tough to do all of that work. How about posting a sample database
with some data? That would be a tremendous head start for us.
