Hi there people,

I am working on this database for a fabric export company - The inward table is somewhat like this:

Design Color Construction Type Qty
---------------------------------------------------------------------
Ashville Red 30x30/76x68 Roll 820Mtrs
Barcelona Blue 20x30/76x68 Bale 500Mtrs

Now after the in(s) and out(s) i need a report of stock in hand but the format should be like this:

Design Color Construction Roll Bale Total
---------------------------------------------------------------------
Ashville Red 30x30/76x68 820 0 820Mtrs
Barcelona Blue 20x30/76x68 0 500 500Mtrs

Can anyone suggest how i can achieve this??

Takeing for granted that you are tracking within the database the actual amt of in and out, this should be realtivly simple.
You could create a query that imports the IN and OUT from the seperate table, then create a calculated field like
TotalOnHand: [In] - [Out]
which would return a field containing the difference. Then use this within the report.
