Trump Administration Predictions (2 Viewers)

Are you OK with that? Revoking someone's citizenship on the basis of a laughable, petty dislike for the person?
I'm pretty sure Trump knows he can't revoke the citizenship of a natural born citizen. So, perhaps instead of assuming the worst, you might assume this was a bad joke because if you take it literally, then you would have to think that Trump is actually assuming powers he doesn't have. You are so close to this issue that you are always willing to believe the worst, most salacious interpretation of everything ICE and Trump do/say. If this was a joke and I'm hoping it was then it was downright stupid. But this wouldn't be the first time DJT has said something stupid.

You can lose your USA citizenship under certain circumstances. I would say "lose involuntarily" but all of these cases require a voluntary act as a trigger. In each case, I am summarizing and there is more to it than what I stated.

1. Run for public office in a foreign country
2. Enter military service for a foreign country
3. Apply for citizenship in a foreign country (and planning to renounce USA citizenship)
4. Commit an act of treason against the USA
5. For naturalized citizens, certain crimes can include the penalty of denaturalization

Therefore, Rosie O'Donnell cannot have her citizenship taken away unless she performs one of the trigger actions. But if I may offer an opinion, if she DID commit one of the trigger actions and DID lose USA citizenship, it would be a loss that we would not miss very much.

Thanks Doc. Now we know that this wasn't just a bad joke on Trump's part. Has she applied for citizenship in Ireland? I'm not sure why we allow dual citizenship anyway. But if it went the other way and she was an Irish national who applied for US citizenship, we wouldn't make her revoke her Irish citizenship and I think that is very wrong. You are a citizen of the US or you are a citizen of some other country. You cannot have divided loyalties.

Not so much, my daughter's cousins have a mother from Germany, and a father from the US. What right do you have to dictate to them your narrow view.

If you want to be an American citizen, that is a choice you need to make. I'm not sure when this changed. I think in the 70's. If you don't want to be an American citizen then don't give up your birth citizenship. No one is forcing you to become an American citizen. And in fact, if you don't really want to be an American, then I don't want you anyway. And if you want to be an American, then you should be fine with giving up your birth citizenship. Presumably the immigrant did come here for a reason, right?

Regarding the issue of dual citizenship, it is possible to have USA citizenship if your other tie is an ally of the USA and if the other tie allows it.

I know that Austria and Brazil allow dual citizenship because I know someone whose parents came from those two countries. She has dual citizenship. Not every country allows dual citizenship, though.

Your opinion that Jews do not revere life. You say there is some news that gave you that opinion. Please share it.
It's not my opinion
They are massacring, I repeat, massacring human lives
Even if it were just one, it would already be too much
And so writing 'Jews respect human life' cannot be written
At least not if it refers to the current leadership, the army, and all those convinced that massacring people is a dutiful act.
Surely there are also Jews who respect the sanctity of every human life, I'm convinced of it
But at this moment in history they have no say in the matter

Jews revere life enough that they publish warnings, drop printed messages, and even go out into the public to warn them of a planned action - even though it means that Hamas knows to avoid the area, too. Hamas, on the other hand, gives no warnings and in fact hides behind civilians. Yep, a really strong reverence for life. Their own lives. Others? Not so much.

And what exactly to you call the bombing of civilian targets by Hamas, Hezbollah, Iran, and the Houthis? All they had to do was to honor just one of their many cease fire agreements they made and stop bombing innocent civilians in Israel and this war would have been over 15 years ago. But no, Hamas, and the other Muslims are committed to killing every Jew in Israel. I guess you are OK with that. Jews are supposed to lay down and die like the Jews did for Hitler. They can't fight back because if they do, they might kill innocents?

The human shield thing, for Americans, goes back to the Regan days. It was horrible then, and just as horrible now.

If a murderer is killed, whoever kills him is a murderer.
Thinking that sending a note saying "Hey I'm coming now and I'll kill you" can somehow justify this behavior is simply an excuse to avoid feeling like an integral part of the hell they're opening

That's the choice you would impose upon the People. Dictating to everyone around you to, not only share, but obey, your world view.
That was the choice the world had until the Progressive rot invaded Congress. Somehow millions of immigrants thought it was a fair deal. It is only America haters who think it is an imposition.
