Trump Administration Predictions (19 Viewers)

Never said I did. In fact, I've consistently said I'd like to see how the consequences play out over a 6-12 mo time frame. Probably the smartest thing any of us can say at this point, as we're not sure the exact impact that it can be had, there will be negatives (paying a little more at the store), and positives (paying down the national debt)
The deficit is already up and the higher prices are showing up. Where is the upside to this?

President Nixon already conducted this experiment. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stagflation. Deficits, monetary expansion and tariffs caused a recession a wage-price spiral. I remember the stagflation decade well.

Yesterday, the Appeals courts also ruled against Trump's illegal tariffs.

Only if the crime is prosecuted UNIVERSALLY and that is never going to happen, is it? If we were to look into the history of this law, chances are good that we would find that it was ether never enforced against anyone or it was introduced to punish a specific individual. Look at the law they passed so the liar could accuse Trump of some sex crime 30 years ago. The liar had no hard evidence like a witness or even a contemporaneous police report AND the liar didn't even pay for her own lawyer. They whole thing was a conspiracy. I wonder if someone pays your legal fees, do you have to report that as income? Look at the other NY case and its misapplication of "justice".

No, I think adultery either should not be a crime or if it is my husband, then subject to an immediate execution squad.

I think being in the US illegally should go back to being a felony. There has to be a severe enough penalty to stop people from overstaying their visas or crossing into the country illegally. We have the technology to match entrances with exits. Arrest warrants should be issued for overstays. They should be reported to the criminal's own country and to the criminal himself using his specified contact information. We don't actually want to chase these people down, we want them to respect our laws. We offer them a get out of jail free card if they turn themselves in and explain the problem or exit through a normal exit point within a week.
Illegal entry was never a felony. It was a rarely charged misdemeanor, as deportation was deemed sufficient in of itself.

Adultery should never had been a crime and prosecutors gave up prosecuting it decades before its repeal.

Immigration laws were enforced loosely for years because our economy needs immigrant labor.

The statement that the law which allowed Trump to be sued for old sex crimes was not passed to deal with Trump is false. It was motivated by sexual abuse cases involving the Catholic Church.

The claim that Trump's payments to Stormy Daniels were illegal campaign contributions was dubious. He would likely been acquitted if he had not repeatedly insulted the judge. However, deducting the payments as a business expense was a clear-cut act of tax evasion, something which is frequently prosecuted.

He has until Oct 14 before it takes affect. Trump has a fairly good record with emergency docket rulings. My guess they will issue a split or partial relief, if they take it under a emergency docket. Who knows.

And let's not overly blame Mexicans.
I would never blame the Mexicans. They have even less to say about the behavior of their government than we have about ours and I do applaud your mother-in-law for not turning a blind eye to human beings in need. I do however blame the Mexican government. In the past, Mexico was quite harsh in its control of its southern border. Apparently the bribes from the cartels got too enticing. Too bad the cartels can't be bothered to feed the people who are paying dearly for transit through Mexico and across the border. Too bad they don't protect the women and children. There is so much wrong with this invasion, it is hard to cover it all. The Mexican government is not acting like a friendly neighbor. They are in cahoots with the cartels. At least Trump has slowed the invasion to a trickle.

Until we became a welfare state and the trickle became an invasion. Not only can you not tell the difference between legal and illegal, you can't tell the difference between a trickle and an invasion. A few thousand illegal entrants can be assimilated and ultimately normalized. Millions cannot be assimilated and as we see today, the current crop have no intention of assimilating. They are here only to take what they can get until they get deported or imprisoned. As your favorite illegal alien who has been in the country for more than two years why he/she hasn't bothered to learn English?

I have already seen significant price increases on several items at the retailers. Whether it's due to tariffs, I think it's too soon. Resellers are known to exploit news to artificially raise prices, and if the tariffs go away they won't lower their prices. There's just too much corporate greed and consumers need to boycott to send them a strong message.

What a disconnected statement. How does that even relate to my response to AB?
Do you hear voices or something?
It's all about manipulation moke. You think it is only coming from Republicans. That would be incorrect so I use hyperbole to point out the things you should be seeing but are not. Why do people like Rosie O'Donnell (not that she has even half a brain) think the person who killed the Catholic children at prayer is a Republican white supremacist rather than a Democrat Christion hater, who is a man who thinks he is a women but has finally come to the sad understanding that wanting to be a woman doesn't make it so, and who is also suffering from TDS. Her interpretation comes straight from the left leaning media. Is that not manipulation? She has been lied to or perhaps she is more stupid than she looks. That manipulation comes from the press which means that there is no free press in the US anymore since they always do the bidding of the Democrats.

I'm not going to retype my post about the tariffs having paid down 4 trillion of debt so far, but you're welcome to go back and read it if you're interested in the truth
It hasn't paid down anything yet. The CBO report estimates 4 trillion over the next 10 years, BUT that is dependent upon the tariffs staying at current rates over the next 10 years and the report states it does not take into consideration other negative economic factors. It also doesn't offset the Big Bozo Bill that adds 4 trillion.

The cost of my asthma medication (which is made in Ireland BTW) jumped from $44 per month in June to $77 in July and my pharmacy claims it wasn't them and my insurance company claims it wasn't them so I called the manufacturer and they confessed but Customer Service had no idea what prompted the increase. So I called Customer "Service" again on Friday and reminded them that our President is against price gouging and they would probably be hearing from him after getting my letter.

And do you actually think that Trump does his own taxes? This would have become a "clerical error" and so never brought to trial since they wouldn't be able to convict Trump of the "crime".

@moke123 I see you dropped the "manipulation by Republicans" like a hot potato. I know Rosie isn't a good example since she's dumb as a rock but there're lots of others. Even on this forum;)

140 illegal firearms have been seized in Washington, D.C. since Trumps crackdown. You'd think the gun control people would be onboard, nope crickets
Trump has made the Dems come out of the closet and admit they are pro crime;) Although Bowser has been saying good things about the downward trend in crime. But the real crazies are projecting that Trump has brought in the National Guard NOW so the public will get used to seeing them and won't be upset when he refuses to leave office again in 2028:ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

You must be hearing those little voices again. Nobody was talking about "manipulation by republicans"
Don't know where you get these thoughts in your head.

I agree that it doesn't factor in the offset of that bill. (Nor any other random thing being spent on currently ), I'm just talking about what I guess you might call the gross effect
No use talking only about the price increases and none of the positives

Even more importantly he knows he can manipulate republicans. We won't insult anyone by saying why.

Don't know where you get these thoughts in your head.
It came from you. Actually, Trump is not manipulating Republicans, he's manipulating the TDS sufferers. No one with half a brain thinks Trump would not leave the WH in 2029 when his term is up.
