Trump Administration Predictions (7 Viewers)

Doc, you hear a different sound coming from one bunch than you do the other, even when the other is the worst offender.

I posted that message to reach ALL members. What I said to @moke123 was to explain that I was NOT specifically targeting him, but I had to inject that message SOMEWHERE... and that somewhere happened to be after his message, but not directly in response to it.

I was aiming that post at ALL bunches - specifically including myself - with that reminder to be careful to avoid pejorative language. If you took that message as either directed at you or not applying to conservatives, I have to suggest that your understanding of its intent was colored by your own innate prejudices and expectations.

I reiterate, ALL of us need to be more careful. Moke123 does not bear all of the blame, nor is he blameless. I am not blameless. @Thales750, you are not blameless. Jon, because he stays out of the exchanges for the most part, is probably among the closest we've got to "blameless" - other than the lurkers who never post and the members who stopped posting long ago but are still on the books.

Yes, I hear different sounds from different bunches - but a lot of that sound is still an angry noise in the political forum.

I'm thinking we might need a new bunch.

If Fed X is so efficient why can't they deliver mail for 73 cents? If they are so efficient, why did Amazon spend $4 billion to start their own service, and why do they use USPS?
They don't deliver first class mail. They deliver packages and so does the USPS. Let's compare apples to apples. None of the stats break down the separation between regular mail and parcel post so perhaps the post office's package delivery service does break even. If so, I apologize. Interestingly though, FedEx and Amazon manage to get packages to my front door but the parcel post guy always drops in front of my garage no matter how many times I go to the post office to complain. With FedEx, you're paying for speed and the service is very expensive.

Amazon started its own delivery service because they can do it better than the USPS and FedEx.

And you are always entitled to your own opinions.

I know right? Like Trump is an idiot and has engaged us in a Trade war that the American people are paying for. Like Trump is a fascist wanna be dictator that has done more to undermine freedom than any President in history.

Those my words in plain English, In the end, when he has proven this to even his staunchest supporters, maybe the likes of you will admit it.

One can only hope.
Wow, dramatic much? 'Fascist wannabe dictator'? The guy couldn’t even get a border wall through with his own party in charge. Real dictators don’t usually have to deal with constant lawsuits, media hit pieces, and endless investigations.

Yeah, tariffs aren't fun, but maybe letting China walk all over us for decades wasn’t a winning strategy either. At least someone tried to do something about it.

Undermined freedom? Last I checked, people were still free to call him every name in the book on every platform imaginable. Try that in an actual dictatorship and see how it goes.

Hate the guy if you want, but turning every disagreement into a historical crisis just makes real issues harder to talk about. Let’s not confuse strong opinions with actual facts.

I didn't say was good at it, the only thing he's good at is playing the victim card.

'Trump is a fascist wannabe dictator' is a lazy, overblown argument that weakens any serious critique of his administration. When you leap to unproven extremes, you don't discredit Trump you discredit yourself.
He tried to rig the 2020 election. He uses Goebbels style propaganda. the list goes on.
My other predictions have come true, this one will too.
He broached a third term in office before he even got started on his second. He made joke about becoming the Popo/
Using the power to the office to go after his enemies. trying to control the content of 60 Minutes. Cutting off Science funding from science that doesn't align with the his propaganda and brain washing of the people.

The list goes on. History will prove me right, and not to mention how ineptly he is executing his trade war with China. Like Hitler before him he is taking the nation into a war we are going to lose.
Oh and he has found a scape goat to use to rally the people, Mexico. There are definitely symptoms. you have to want to not ignore them to see them.

@Thales750: History has already proven that you are wrong. The Democrats rigged the 2020 election. Biden fostered conflicts in the Ukraine and Israel. Biden made racism an official US government policy. Biden "funded" government agencies and NGOs (as exposed by DOGE) to persecute conservatives. Biden used lawfare to persecute Trump. The list goes on.

One of Trump's main flaws is his unwillingness to include dissenting or differing opinions in his surrounding advisors. This is the mark of a person intellectually going nowhere fast. Anyone who has allowed even a modicum of self improvement in their life knows that you MUST do this, or you wilt and wither into a degredation of ideas, self-deceptions and ego-driven nonsense. It is the challenge from others that brings us up. It is the squelching of this that keeps us down. This is one of my main criticisms of him personally.

A truly wise and smart person will always allow other ideas into their life, it is what keeps us growing and challenges our selves to become wiser.

Someone who comes into the situation with their "My 100 Best Ideas" tattooed on their chest and surrouned by 100 people to say Yes to all of them is destined to become a fool, if they aren't already.

Let’s get real. Trump didn’t rig the 2020 election over 60 court cases and multiple audits said otherwise. Criticizing 60 Minutes isn’t censorship, shifting science funding isn’t “anti-science,” and making a sarcastic joke about a third term isn’t proof of authoritarianism. The trade war with China was a bipartisan concern, and Biden kept most of it. Securing the border isn’t scapegoating it’s basic national policy. Comparing this to Hitler and Goebbels isn’t just inaccurate, it shuts down honest debate. If the symptoms are real, you don’t need to exaggerate them.

Oh, and the Pope thing, that was just funny. Dem needs to relax and figure out their next move.

Im guessing, not too many laughing Catholics.

He tried to rig the 2020 election.
What planet are you living on? He was complaining about the rampant cheating in the counting rooms and with the non verification of signatures, and the finding boxes of new ballots to count until your guy actually won. And accepting ballots WEEKS after election day. This is de regur in Bridgeport elections. They're usually found stashed in bathrooms or under beds where apparently they were placed for safety. What were people trying to hide from observers by covering up the windows as another simply silly example?

I am still trying to figure out how selling us cheap stuff is walking over us. Remember, the law he used, the IEEPA, makes no mention of tariffs. So "something" he did is illegal.

Yeah, cheap stuff sounds nice until you factor in the jobs lost, tech stolen, and industries gutted. China didn’t play fair for decades, and we just let it slide. Tariffs weren’t perfect, but at least someone pushed back. IEEPA presidents have used it for all kinds of trade actions. Calling it “illegal” is a reach unless a court says so.

The money saved by importing from China was available for other stuff, creating jobs.

Read the text yourself at https://www.law.cornell.edu/uscode/text/50/1702. There is no mention of tariffs, so it is illegal. You don't need to be a judge to read a law. Trump is stealing money from Americans. Why aren't you angry?
