Unrecognized database format (1 Viewer)

I am getting an unrecognized database format once in 2 weeks. In my company around 45 users access the database that is replicated in each user's m/c.
Then I have to Repair and compact the master database to fix the problem.

Any ideas of why it is happening??

Do they have Access 97 and 2000 installed on the same PC's? That message will come up if they use Access 2000 to open 97 or if they switch between the 2 it can get confusing, sometimes the icons show as 97 but you know it was converted.

Which version of Access are you using
