Unusual Question

Remember when Imoved into the management area.

I had so many people wanting me to attend meetings I started blocking out my calendar with private meetings with myself. That way I could get some work done because the rules where 1) Nobody overwrites a meeting entry, 2) If its not on my calendar i will not be there.

Annoyed some, infuriated others, I got my job done, some others adopted same principle when they found out what I was doing.

Maybe that's why I am now working my way down the management ladder

Anybody else where a million different hats that you don't have time for?

I like to just smile nicely and accept whatever they throw at me. When it gets too much I ask "them" to prioritise what they want me to do and to remember that this is only a job to me and there is no way I will die for it. So, when I feel I'm starting to stress I remind myself that it's "their" time, not mine, if "they" want to waste it, that's just fine by me. ;)

After privatization, they cut 75% of the jobs. Yes, 75%; 3 out of 4 people are gone

That is truly amazing. Government can't do anything efficiently, especially when government workers are allowed to unionize.

I can't wait for national health care.

...unfortunately for me, it's very very difficult for me because I've been around computers for so damn long. This is seriously not my strong suit...I somewhere wonder how I ever got involved with them...

Ditto. I hated computers so much I ended up training others on them! Now, if I could get back to that point... If you find that managerial job and you're looking for a trainer :D

I can't wait for national health care.

Yeah, let's put the most inefficient people on earth in charge of our health. I'll follow the doctors to wherever they're all moving at that point. :p
