What is the best way to update a table (from code) in an access-file, from within another access file?
So say I have a table in file1. But it isn't open. And I have a tablle in file2. Which is open. This table is also linked to a form and when I press a button on that form, I want the table in file1 to be updated with some values from the form in file2.
Did that make sense?

I'm pretty sure this can be done, but I have no clue how :)
plz help me.

Seems you could simply link to the table in the secondary .mdb and do what you please with it.

Oh, now I see. It's ok, I get it now. But can it also be done from code?
because the name of the access files that needs to be linked constantly changes.
