Updating Multiple Rows in one Update Query Help Please!

I've figured it out, I think I was probably explaining it badly and you got the wrong end of the stick.

I can just put an OR throughout the entire query on each field/criteria.

Thanks for all the help, frustrating I imagine but there you go that's why we're noobs and you guys are the experts

No , forget the criteria that row of the grid remains blank, the IIFs go in the update to row, the one above the Criteria in an update query's design grid.
