The Canadian dollar closed at .97 cents against the US dollar on Friday. A 30 year high.

It seems the US dollar is getting the kicked around all over the world (vs. the Yen and Euro).

Is the Amercian foreign policy to blame in Iraq. Maybe the US is deficit financing the war because the taxes sure haven't gone up and this is the fallout.

The U.S. dollar's been falling steadily for well over a decade... Brutal if you like to travel -- good for many corporate fat-cats though.

Yes it has been a steady decline but the past two weeks have been like an elevator (lift) with a broken cable.

Not for people outside the USA - With $2.04c to £1, it makes the USA a cheap place to go.

Course, if Yanks should want to venture past their borders then they'll certainly have to pay dear for things. It's probobly cheaper to invade and then steal the things you need.

...but it's only Brits we're allowed to shoot on sight. I understand it's because their negative attitude is so dense it adversely effects the surrounding environment...sort of an ecological menace.
