User Rights Issue (1 Viewer)

Hi;

I have two database files. One is A.mdb that consists of Queries, Forms, Reports etc. Another File B.mdb is having tables only and that tables are linked with A.mdb

I prepared System.mdw file that have user rights. When I am trying to log in, after the password the system give the below error.

"You do not have necessary permission to use 'F:\B.mdb' object. Have your system administrator or the person who created this object establish the appropriate permissions for you"

I do not understand Can any body HELP me Please ?

I do not know what you have done, but you should never touch the system.mdw

create a new mdw file, with a different name, and secure your database against this. It is possible to completely lock yourself out of databases by using the mdw files incorrectly.

note that the name of the mdw file alone is insufficient. you also need the code you enter when you create the mdw file.

while learning, make a copy of the your database before securing the database.

I would try renaming system.mdw to something else, and then repair access. It may create a new system.mdw.

Whether this will help or not, is a different matter.

I copied every object to a new file and then create the new .mdw file and its working fine till now. Thank you again.
