Thanks Ken, I'm surprised that my unforced spelling error was picked up by an American - especially one living in such a backwater as Georgia:p

The 'voice' of America is the White house, its the best laugh on the BBC news everytime GWB opens his gob.
If it makes you feel better, my wife and I positively cringe every time he speaks. Not only is he good for a laugh, but we both breathe great sighs of relief knowing that his term is nearly finished and it won't stay this way forever.:D ...and hopefully over before any nuke-U-lur incidents:eek:

sidenote: Hey Ken! I hear the Redneck Games are going on in your neck of the woods...you attending?

I saw some of that on tv - Where they were jumping in the mud hole... It was about 30-40 miles from here... I didn't see any relatives in the footage so I guess we shouldn't be expecting and windfall royalties any time soon...:p :p

As do many Americans no doubt. Unfortunately, thats one of the main reasons the USA is a laughing stock.
As I've said before, whoever takes over is going to have a huge job to rectify the damage done to the US - unless of course its Jeb that gets in, then it'll just continue.
But viewing the US trend for voting in complete idiots as their leader, I suspect Jeb will have a good chance. Plus of course, the Bush mega-dollar fortune will "oil" the machinery so he will get in, then the Bush mega-dollar fortune will grow on the strength of "backhanders" in the awarding of rebuilding contracts.

Oh, I wouldn't go so far as to call all of our leaders complete idiots... W is simply a good, decent man that has made some very devastating errors in judgment...:(

Unless you've lived here it would be hard to explain :) :) :)

but such is the price of living in a society which promotes personal freedom.
Examination of the facts and your history do not support that hypothesis

We do seem to have our share of that :o - But we're working on cleaning some of it up :) :) :)

Clinton was ok, I liked him.

RayGun was a tit in love with Maggie Thatcher.

Bush is a good and decent mass killer.

Ummm, last time I looked, /Brits/ live in a society which promotes personal freedoms too. And we dont end up as the worlds laughing stock to do it, either

Secondly: I may have problems with Rich's constant US bashing, but usually, despite his singular logic, he arrives at a point without being personally degrading or offensive. I have found Col to be a little more level headed than Rich, but nonetheless amusing to banter with. "Nomore"...you are an ass. You have entered here with absolutely no class, humility, or courtesy.

Isn't this where the mantra of "I dont understand you, therefore I want to kill you" creeps in? Look, lets try to get real here, eh? In case you hadn't noticed, its not a popularity contest. I'm not here trying to win friends any more than (I presume) you are. I find /your/ attitudes offensive (thats you as in Yanks, rather than you personally), but them's just the breaks. I find it irritating in the extreme when 'Merkins start preaching their "an attack on America is an attack on freedom" crap, somehow believing that God appointed them as world policeman and they are the chosen ones.

You have offended me personally with virtually every one of your posts.

see above

I would recommend that you take some time out for some lessons in that fabled British politeness. (and read my signature line)

No thanks. I reserve my politeness for those I feel worthy of it. Resorting to personal ad hominem slurs unfortunately renders you firmly in the camp of /unworthy/.

Not according to your dictator you're not. He doesn't want to upset the industrial giants in case it affects the party funding etc etc. Thats why he didn't sign up to Kyoto

Christ Ken, come on. . . . you lot really don't know what goes on in your own country:rolleyes: you just believe any old fake and doctored reports pushed out in Washington

Lighten up Col - You'll be getting an ulcer worrying so much about us...:o

Maybe a brisk ride on the scooter will relive some of the tension :)

(We do appreciate the concern though... :):):))
