I merely claimed that Americans are unarmed in a battle of spelling, since their language is nothing but a (pale) imitation of our own. Now I'm not prejudiced enough (yet) to correlate that with a lack of intellect on behalf of the Yanks, but it does somewhat stick in the throat when a 'Merkin tells me that I'm spelling something incorrectly, especially bearing in mind America's somewhat poor showing in world literacy. Still, that's another subject entirely - I'd rather converse about things with a little more impact, such as gitmo, etc. That okay by you, or you wanna play semantics some more?

First off: I, for one, am an American and damn proud of it. I do not always approve of leadership nor national sentiment but such is the price of living in a society which promotes personal freedom. Maybe you Brits stop believing in the UK because of whatever perceived blasphemy TB is up to at the moment, but that's simply not our style.

Secondly: I may have problems with Rich's constant US bashing, but usually, despite his singular logic, he arrives at a point without being personally degrading or offensive. I have found Col to be a little more level headed than Rich, but nonetheless amusing to banter with. "Nomore"...you are an ass. You have entered here with absolutely no class, humility, or courtesy. You have offended me personally with virtually every one of your posts. I would recommend that you take some time out for some lessons in that fabled British politeness. Unfortunately your warmongering dictator needs to get things in your order - he leads your country and dictates to the rest of the world that you are a know-it-all country, but sadly fails on the 'calm' and 'civilised' bits.
