What is crazy and what is not?

I gotta come up and see that!

I'll take you up on that offer, so make sure to do it and not just talk about it. I'm in the process of converting it to my woodshop. It was used for heavy equipment and lumber storage before me, so now I'm having to convert walls, pour concrete and etc. I think it's going to be the rest of my life project.

Excellent! Do you intend to use it for fun or business (or both)?

Next time I go pick up or drop off my daughter I'll be sure to give you a ring.

More than likely, just for fun but a big daydream of mine and Julie's is to be able to keep getting contracted jobs and it turn into something that I can actually make a living doing it.

You got my number so just call and we'll make arrangements. Be sure to have your wife with you and maybe we can grab a bite to eat (4oz steak :D) and hang out for awhile.

Uh, you missed a zero. Shouldn't that be 40 oz? (should give Col something to talk about)

I didn't miss a zero cause I was being sarcastic, now if I was being truthful, 40 oz T-Bone or Porterhouse would me much more like it.

I built my cabinets last year. Fun and good experience. One technique I will throw your way to consider. For your counter tops use 1/8" hardboard and use pin nails to put it down. That way you can change out the counter top when it wears out, which you know is going to happen.

My latest project is building a table saw station. I am increasing the left and right wings and adding an outfeed table. On the right wing I'm increasing it enough to also add my router table into it. I just got started, last Sunday, so it will be a little while before I'm finished with it. So what's your latest project?

The last thing I did was to dress up the posts and build the rails on the back porch. We just moved into a new house and I knew if I let the 'regular' subs do it it would have been a mess....

rotflmao. :D
what's wrong with stone walls and a buncha junk lyin' around?
oh, it's for industrial music!

I'm currently working on building a recording studio. I designed it myself, and made the first error already. :p
See attached pic.
Well if that's a speaker cabinet on the floor it appears to have the wrong shaped hole:eek::D

Nope, when finished, only the finest jazz and world fusion music will be played here !

You must be blind if you can't distinguish the difference between a bric and
a KEF speaker ! :eek::p

This is getting serious Wazz. Realworld studios is way above what I'm doing !
I understood that Peter Gabriel owned this studio ?

Here's another pic of my "mini" studio.
Btw, the mistake I made is the concrete fundation on the right hand side. It's some 4 cm's too low. I'm currently redoing that. And yes, if you wanna come over and help, you're more than welcome.

yes that's peter gabriel's place. i think he started it sometime after the 'So' album. it's really out of this world and way beyond what any normal human could ever do. but still, your place has the same look/feel about it. i read on his site (some time ago - i think it's gone now) that building the studio was a true nightmare and almost didn't get finished.

I listen to a radio show around here that gives us information overload on useless stuff. It's about the funniest thing I've ever heard actually. They have researchers doing stuff on information that you never thought a human being would have the "lack of heart" to discover or even care about. When I need a laugh after work, I ALWAYS listen to that. Sometimes I laugh myself stupid. What a great thing to have after a tough day of trying to be "intelligent" at work! :D Anyone else have one of these relievers?

Whenever I think that my head will explode waiting for November 4th, I go here:
