what to use?? SQL, VBA, DAO ???

on a form, the latest shipment info is collected to the Transactions Table...item id, latest price, quantity, ps#, etc. At the end of the info gathering line, would like a command button to take the info from the form and update a second Inventory file.

SQL UPDATE works as a stand alone, but don't know how to imbed it into the "OnClick" option of the command button.

Help would be appreciated.
