Parents are the problem - expecially Mothers.

Kids today are wrapped in cotton wool - kids can't do or eat anything without it being supervised in case the little dear gets a nasty germ on themselves, then it's a long bath in disinfectant.

Let the kids go out and play and eat dirt and eat whatever - they'll soon build up immunity and won't eat what they dislike. Kids can't go anywhere without it being in a 4x4 battle bus.

Agreed - Mom's walk behind kids and watch over their shoulder and they loose all sense of self responsibility. Kind of like the gov baby sitting adults and saying they don't know how to be responsible guns, etc. Gee, I wonder where they get it

Well since soccer is a minority sport in the US there's obviously a case for scrapping American football

Rampant nut allergies are a relatively new development (20 years).
The current theroies for their cause are:
Immunization - reaction to the suspension agent, not the virus or bacteria
Pollution - resistance to all allergies is decreased due to the crap we breathe eat and drink
and a variety of other factors. Personally I think its a combination of all of these factors.

A few years back, the US was airlifting emergency supplies to some disaster. One of the foods supplied was peanut butter and biscuits. A reporter asked if there may be problem with peanut allegeries in the effected area. The response, peanut allergies are not a problem in the 3rd world, only the developed world.
Makes you wonder.

I thought the reason might be that spacwe aliens were breeding among us weakening the species and we would die off by microbes like the Martians in H.G. Wells "The War of the Worlds".

I just tinkered with a mac laptop & boy was that thing cool. It was running a virtual vista os in the mac os with all the ui eye candy stuff, etc,etc,etc... Now I want one
