I thought he had his own band. Can't he sent some CD's for free before his return :D
Hope he and his wife are recovering soonest.

For free!!?? think of the overheads. I'm afraid this would set a dangerous precedent, the whole music industry would suffer. Sorry can't be done. ;)

I'm surprised Barry. I figured that some free copies could boost Col's
market share to an incredable level. ( word by mouth)
No website, were we could download some trials or parts of his best
songs?

rak we're pioneering a new, subtle marketing technique based on exclusivity. You've heard about it, you can't get it so you want it more.... :D

Count me in. (Or out?)

Regards,
Tim

He'd never find it all the way down there...
What is taking him so long? The ice cream is starting to melt.

Hi All

I am still alive  I've had one or two problems and also had a motorcycle prang - no serious injury thankfully.

I shall return next week (14th)

Thanks all for your messages.

Col

Geez, I was sound asleep when he came in.

My drums will be put on eBay for sale soon. The colour is blue oyster, they're American, made in 1972 by a company called Rogers - very good quality. I have original heads on the drums and all the hardware (cymbal stands etc) are also original.

free?? don't understand. . . . . . . . Its only a CD of covers from our set that we wanted to do before we disbanded, we'd been together 12 years and just wanted a momento.
We just reached the end really, what we needed was some girl singers but Hayley and Lyns were not keen.:D

Drums now on ebay.

Thanks for the good wishes Rak;) nice to be back.

I was only joking Col.
But it's a sad thing to finish a band. Any plans of starting a new one
or has the thrill gone :)

You could join Col & Me Rak, we'd have a band with two bass players. Anyway when are we going to hear some of your stuff?

Barry - my mate bought a Strat off me last night, I've now got a space on the wall. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

I would love to. But what kind of music would one play with two bassplayers;
Dave Holland/ Barre Philips stuff ? Or plain R&B ?
Years ago, i went to a concert of a two bass band which included Tony Levin, Bill Bruford and Adrian Belew (don't remember the second bass player) . Interesting compositions and incredable musical workmanship. Looked like a sort of try out before they formed the next King Crimson band with Robert Fripp.

Dunno but I saw an amazing Icelandic band called sigur ros on Jools Holland's Later the other week. They had two bass players, a selection of percussion, keyboards, strings and horns. Weird stuff but quite haunting. Back in the sixties a scottish pop/rock band called Marmalade had two bassists, they were superb live so it can certainly be done! On the rest back in Bournemouth I used to play with a guitarist who got the gig over Fripp as at that time Fripp could barely put two chords together!
