@Dick7Access that's great ...
I am not naturally very chipper in the morning, and definitely not given to getting up at 5 or any such thing!
However, I have to get up every morning to work anyway, so it's moot.....I try drinking coffee about 1/4 of the time, just to check if it's any better than last time, but frankly nothing is quite right until my first Monster Zero.
But I don't get up very early - just before 7 is my norm. (Although the few times I'm forced to get up at 5 for some reason, I feel surprisingly good. I wonder if the last couple hours actually makes it worse!)
But I agree........don't talk to me until at least 1 hour has passed and caffeine has percolated. My wife launches right into conversations about finances, vacations, and child rearing as soon as she opens her eyes while I pretend to listen as best as I can.
However, I'll be getting a CPAP machine (2nd try!) in a few weeks, and expect it to help me sleep better and feel better upon waking, if I can tolerate it.
If I can't, I'll be looking at Inspire chip. The sleep doctor clinic is interestingly conflicted on this topic. They'll give me a brochure (because they're a sleep clinic and sort of have to stock brochures about all the gadgets available), but with a visible tear in their eye. You can tell they want to be seen as modern, but hate the idea of actually losing the CPAP business. "Yes, inspire works great, but CPAP is our recommendation", they tell me.....with a straight face. Gotta love the healthcare BUSINESS !
