Which frontend version

Hey Folks

After initially developing our database and giving it to staff for some time they are starting to request things to assist them in their daily routines.

What I am finding is not everyone is updating to the latest version when I send a new version out.

The backend sits on the server and the frontend on each of their PC's.

I am thinking of some sort of version check, if the frontend isn't the latest version then a message displays to the user.

Trying to figure out the best way to do this, any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

One way that I have done plus links to other sites with different solutions.

basically put a "required version" somewhere in the backend

test this in the front end, and refuse to start if they have the wrong version. The suggested links will no doubt copy the latest version, if an update has been provided.
