I've been working with MS-Access since version 2.0, and SQL Server since version 7. Currently I've been focused on MS-Access front-ends with SQL Server databases. Prior to that I designed small stand-alone db's, Access split FE/BE projects and so on. I hold the MCP for MS-Access, and MCSD for Visual Basic.

Hey, Bill, and welcome. I started with Access 2.0 as a person switching from Paradox. When Borland took Paradox from DOS to Windows I don't think they did such a good job of it, and when I tried Access 2.0, I no longer merely THOUGHT they had screwed the pooch, I KNEW they had.

Hey Doc, my very first "database" was a Lotus 1-2-3 worksheet (remember those?) but then I discovered dBASE and worked with that for many years. My first impression of Access was that it was "a toy" compared to dBASE but the more I worked with it, the better it looked. Especially since Borland was late to the game with dBASE for Windows.

I kind of got my start with Lotus worksheets too. Worked myself out of a job by automating a lot of manual processes.
