Hello all,
I have a simple form in Access 2016. Everything was working as it was supposed to until yesterday. When I changed the property of one of the controls (Unlocked to Locked) in my form and switched back to Form View all my controls were gone. I switched back to design view and everything was there with no problem.
I realized all my objects in my form's body were disappeared in Form View and Layout View where they were all visible in Design View. My Form Header has no issues at all. Even if I add new controls in Design View, they won't be there when I switch to Form View.
I've closed the program and restarted already several times. I even restarted my computer, nothing was changed. I also used Compact & Repair option to remove possible issues and it didn't help at all.
Unfortunately I can't upload my database due to security reasons at my work.
Please help if you know what's going on.
Thank you

You probably have a form set to data entry, or with no records to display, and with a non updateable record set.
You get a blank form, and every control is undefined.

The "locked" control must be the issue. Unlock it, and see if it fixes it.

I even removed that control from my form as you can see in the screenshot. I have screenshot of my property sheet. Do you see any anomaly?

I am not sure what they call it but my form is not one of those that shows the data instead I am using it as data entry. The related property was used (Data Entry: Yes/No) with both options and nothing changed. I have dozens of records in my bounded table.

Can you add a record directly in the form's source query? And does it return any records?

form's source query
I can run the form's source query and it returns all the records in datasheet view (like a table). My issue is that I cant even see the controls in my form to add a record using the form.

I asked if you could add a record in the query. Try deleting the filter as well.

When I am in Form View I can even navigate through the records and see one of the controls in the header changes.
A small line in top left corner took my attention. I wouldn't see that line before this issue. I am not sure if that is related or not.

goto the bottom row, and try to add details into the new row.
Alternatively, try to edit a (harmless) cell, and then put it back to the original value

If the query is non-updateable, you won't be able to do either.

It does look curious.
First, I would add record selectors , and add a vertical scroll bar (at least) to the form.

See what the form looks like then.
Is there any code behind the form?

Can you attach the db here if those fixes don't work?

Looks like the size of the Subform is off the screen at the bottom.

Try making the Subform smaller

I was able to add records via query. I also changed some properties of the controls in the form design view. It didn't solve the issue.
