Access vs. VBA

I am an internal auditor, not a real programmer but I love access, it helped me controlling my records and data.

one important question, i think i am a power user of access, have some knowledge in access programming, however do i really need to get some visual basic courses to improve my skills?

If you really want to exercise the full power of Access, then VBA is essential, even if only to do specialty logging in specific event routines. But if you want to make an impressive app that has a dynamic look and feel to it, VBA is how you get there. SQL and the form/report wizards offer the main structure of Access, but VBA adds the fireworks.
