Just got on Go Daddy and registered a Domain.
Creating an Internet site has so many options at so many costs.

I just want to have a very basic site that would also allow me to sell some of my own products. They pay, I mail kind of thing.

My goal is not to become an internet specialist.
Just seems there should be some tool, some service to host and keep it simple with some templates.

Rx ,
Not sure where this really fits, but I've seen it more than once.
I have never used it; don't know of costing arrangements; but think you may be able put the website you create with their tools onto your own site.

More review info here.

good luck.

Maybe the place you host your website at already has a simple store template you can apply?
It would not be unheard of that they offer such a service.

Maybe they offer you to install something like wordpress. this may have a plugin that gives you what you are looking for.

I set up a Wordpress site and then set up my domain using 1&1, it was pretty easy to do although I'm not convinced Wordpress is the best blogging site to be honest. Out of curiosity, how do you fnd Go Dadddy?

Started WordPress - then the on-line template falls out the template when something like a GIF transfer failed. Now the whole site seems corrupted.
However, WordPress has a huge following! Kind of torn about it.
Go Daddy seems cheap to get into, then the price structure changes.
I pay cash for my cars so I don't have to deal with the hidden finance terms.
GoDaddy doesn't strike me as the best total service for some reason.

Would be interested to know. Will be needing something myself in a few weeks.

I use the Netregistry CPanel service, which comes with the web hosting. Very very useful, you can even upload MySQL databases and utilise phpMyAdmin. You can also use Sitebuilder to create a website with a Wordpress-like UI.

Netregistry is based in Melbourne, Australia. "Netregistry is Australia’s favourite domain registrar, trusted by over 500,000 customers and supported by unlimited 24/7 support."
