My money is on McCain.

I think a black man or woman needs to be on the Republican side because the voters who are keen for a black man or woman POTUS will already be strong Democrats. On the other hand Obama or H Clinton could cause a high Democrat roll up.

As long as its a Democrat and not a war mongering Republican it doesn't matter

Given China's/India's rise in economic importance & the US's decline in economic as well as ethical/moral standing, dare I state:

Who cares!

If the next Prez can keep the USA out of meddling in world affairs, keep itself quiet - repair the damage Bush has done to the USA, stop the USA thinking it owns the world and here's a novel one, look after the USA populace and address home issues - then I don't care who gets it.

The biggest job is to get the USA in a position where it is once again respected (or even tolerated) on the world stage - but with the rise in superpower of India / China - I doubt the USA will ever be the same.

I agree. I don't think there has been even one US president that has done worse than Bush has (economically speaking). Someone remind me again, who is he? Does he even live in this country? I wouldn't know, he's never here...

Looks like it's McCain or Obama. My money is going on McCain.

He makes nice oven chips.

Believe or not, there are war mongering Democrats and peace loving Republicans.

The party lines in the US are not as clearly defined as they are in other democratic countries.

Don't forget it was Theodore Roosevelt, a Republican who brought in anti trust and pure food and drug laws.
Lyndon Johnson, a Democrat got the US in way over their heads in Vietnam.

Just because a Democrat wins the White House doesn't mean the war in Iraq will be over.
Just because a Republican wins doesn't mean it will continue.

By starting one against Iran, I don't think so:rolleyes:

Hey, you can't look the hero to end a war if no idiot is going to start one in the first place!!

Reminds me of a Marx Brothers movie (Duck Soup?)- "We have to have a war, I've already booked the battlefield!"

I bet the next person will blame the previous one for all the bumbling mistakes

The current warmongering killer lunatic you voted in will be blamed for many things, increasing terrorism, making the world a less safe place, angering different religions, destroying the English language, being unable to open a door - the list is endless.

The next one will be no better because of the Bush legacy which will last for decades, the USA is now a spent force because of Bush.

If Obama gets in and gets assassinated (as predicted) then it will highlight even more how out of control the USA is.
