Why do I receive this message :

Is there any daily limit in liking? Am I using it too much?
Should I stop liking posts even if I feel they're helping me?

thanks.

How did you get that neat, rugged/torn look at the edge of your screenshot?

Oh, cool! Thanks for the info.
I'm so old fashioned, I still Ctrl+PrtScr and paste into Paint. I've gotten so fast at it that I've never bothered to upgrade myself to the newer tools out there, but I really must try them.

I used Snagit back in the late 90s. It was pretty impressive even then. The ability to capture a scrolled window was particularly useful.

The U.S.Navy had SnagIt on all of their government-furnished equipment (GFE) and I used the livin' <nasty-word> out of it to make documents and reports.

I recommend you also take a look at ShareX. It is free and open source.

I was getting ready to start a new thread about how awesome SnagIt was but decided to check first. Of COURSE I am late to the party - as usual.

I did find it interesting however, that NO ONE answered Tera's (OP) question!

Well done on remembering it was Tera. :)

Perhaps making too many in one go?. I tend to do them as I see them.

I enjoyed his contributions and admired his tolerance and ability to stay collected - a trait I really need to develop in myself. I asked him to stick around but his mind was made up.

He joined another forum, but I've not seen him around in ages. :(

With SnagIt, all you have to do (once you have started the app) is press Print Screen and it launches. This tool is a must-have if you are documenting your DB and making User Manual.

the scrolling capture for windows longer than the screen size never worked for me. i tried many times and never get it to work.

I used Snag-It to help build a User Manual in Word format for my biggest Navy project as well as for a couple of smaller reports I had to file. Totally invaluable tool, well done, and integrated VERY nicely with Word & PowerPoint (the two places I used it most.)

I've tried snag it and other tools, I just couldn't identify much benefit over and above the 6 seconds it takes me to do my Paint method, snagit just did the exact same thing. but maybe i'll try it again sometime since all of you are going on about it :p it must be the cat's pajamas

No pajamas about it haha. It is just another tool but it isn't best in the world. It's just something different. To boil it down, I look at it as saying as Windows 10 snippet tool being turned on
