we also have freedom of choice and, as long as it's not against the law, why should we be made to feel bad about what nature prompts us to do?

Nature does have a way of binding pleasure closely with survivability.
Arguing that animals don't take pleasure in killing is just not true. Does anyone really believe that a pack of hunting dogs are not gaining any pleasure from the hunt? It's a tactic used by nature to encourage living things to perform actions to increase their chances of survival.
