Today there seems to be an amazing quantity of news stories cover a variety of topics. Babylon Bee was exploding with humorous content today, but in a short period of time the stories covered in this link will have become obsolete and changed. Looks like the Canadian truckers are finally getting a break. Unfortunately it is another case of the government using an illegal tactic, which does not get "corrected" until after all the damage is accomplished by the offending government. (Biden is pursuing a similar strategy to persecute Trump.)
Federal Court Justice Richard Mosley ruled that the use of the Emergencies Act by the Liberal government of Justin Trudeau to shut down a series of trucker-led protests in February of 2022 was “unreasonable”, CBC reports.

@Uncle Gizmo: Since this thread is on Canada and Jordan Peterson has been a strong proponent for free speech (and a person who spoke-up for the truckers), there is a bit of unfortunate recent news that the battle to protect free speech still has a way to go.

Court dismisses Jordan Peterson's request to challenge order he undergo media training
Ontario's highest court has rejected an attempt by controversial psychologist Jordan Peterson to challenge a regulatory body's order that he undergo social media training or potentially lose his licence to practise.
A spokesperson for the Court of Appeal for Ontario says that a panel of judges has decided to not grant Peterson leave to appeal an August 2023 divisional court ruling that affirmed that the College of Psychologists of Ontario could order him to undergo training on professionalism in public statements.
Peterson said Wednesday that there are now no legal avenues he can take to challenge the college's decision to send him "to re-education camp," adding his "war" with the college has "barely started. (emphasis added.)
"Re-education camp", Orwell's 1984 facility for attitude adjustment. Hope they serve good food there.

There's no way Dr Jordan Peterson is going to dance to their tune, he'd rather go to prison... He'd go willingly and he would be applauded for it. I reckon he'd have a good chance of becoming president of Canada ousting Trudeau. But I also think he's got more sense than to get that deep into politics...

A couple of days ago, A Canadian federal court judge ruled in favor of the truckers. Coincidentally, Tucker Carlson had the extremely interesting interview below. As there is no reference in the interview to the court decision, this interview appears to be totally independent.
