Hi All,

I have a form with a series of check boxes (see image below). The check box is always in the top left had corner and is very small. Does any one know if it is possible to:

a. Have the check box in the centre
b. Enlarge the check box, so the tick itself appears larger

Cheers,

If you open the form in design view, you should be able to place the check box where ever you wish.

I have a general rule that if I am using size 10 font on my form, I usually will change the size of the check box to 12 (+2).

You may also click on the check box and expand it using the corners. When you have the size you like, click on properties. Write down the height and width and then change all your tick boxes to that size.

I don't get this!
Yes you can stretch the tick box size, but the tick still remains the same size!
Also, I am unable to change the font size of the tick box as the font and font size selector is blanked out.
Is it me?

do you work with 60 year olds or something. I think the default size is fine. I also tried to stretch the box to no avail.

Kidrobot.
Yes I do work with 60 year olds, some are disabled and some have sight problems.
You see my reason for asking?
In future son, think about what you say.

could you change this to a combo box with a tick and cross (would need messing around with font types) or have it as YES/NO

you could then resize this up (I think)
or could you resize the form so it would be at 150% of acutal size
or resize windows settings

this might help - no idea how to resize just a tick box though

how about perscription screen (Only Kidding)

does,nt windows have a disiable feature on it - somewhere buried in the settings ??

if this doesn't help - could be one for MS themselves -

Unfortunately check boxes are not resizable. The words for the caption with them are, but not the check boxes themselves. They may get resized based on windows system settings, but that's the only place I know of that would let you resize.

I hate using ActiveX controls since they can cause so many MISSING REFERENCE problems from computer to computer. But, there might be a custom control out there somewhere that you can get. Heck, if I get a moment, I might try to create a resizable. one.

Thanks Gary and Bob.
Think the combo box thing will give what I need.

you could just have a command button, with a text of YES or NO or something similar

in the after update event change the text or bit map to something else ie toggle YES/NO and store the setting in the hidden tick box.

a bit of work, but would be easier to give larger images

you can also click labels in the same way, one advantage is that you can change a labels baxkground colour

Speaking of Toggles there is a toggle button that is resizable.
