Question Compare frontends

Dear forum members,

I inhereted 10 similar non splitted databases (A2013) of which I'm told they have differences in code and form design, not in tables design. My idea is to split all db's and create one generic frond end. I've looked at some tools to compare the 10 frontends but those are pretty expensive. And I found a thread of free tools but they don't do the job either. Are there any free/cheap tools that can do the comparison? Or does someone have a strategy to do it cleverly and efficiently manually?

Why exactly are you going to change these operational databases?
Is the company/organization viable?
Does it have an IT department?
How would your proposed project(s) be funded/resourced?

Please give us some history on how these were developed; who uses them and what you overall approach is.

The developer passed away. A professional stable long term solution is being looked for but that will take time. In the meantime the application needs to remain functioning.

There are 10 instances running of more or less the same application but there seem to be some differences in coding and forms. The db's often have corruption problems. So the first thing we want to do is to split the db's. The second thing we want to do is to create 1 in stead of 10 front ends to make it easier to maintain and update the db's.

So, you're not going into this blindly. Great. Do you have a database background?
A long time poster -Bob Larson - who has left the forum in the last year or so - created a series of utilities. He had a merge analysis tool (free) that may be of some use to you. You can find it at this link.
Test it and see if it applies.

Yes, we're thoroughly preparing the migration to 2013 and the splitting of the db's. Thanks, I checked the tool and that will certainly help.
