I'm pinning all my beliefs on this small fact. I've decided, without any real evidence, that cattle were present and that anyone who says there wasn't is a heretic and can be killed by me, thereby ensuring my place in heaven.

i might get a smiting for speaking out against injustice, but what i'm giving this year to each of my family members is a 'gift' from oxfam to help OTHER families and communities.

i'll surely go to hell for that!

From what I understand it would be the people who have a problem with charity during the holiday season who will be going there.

Charity should not just be restricted to the pagan December festival. I ignore charities all year round.

I'm sick of giving money away only to find it gets "filtered" before it reaches whoever needs it. Africa has had billions and billions of pounds over the years yet they still ask for more - yet the warlords there use it to fund their civil wars and petty squabbles.

Then you see this wafer thin kid walking 5 miles to collect water, then 5 miles back - why not move closer to the water?

It's not rocket science.

Anyway, I need my money to upkeep my lifestyle.

just when i thought i'd heard it all.

and how long does it take you to get to work? 30 mins? 1 hour? why don't YOU move closer to work, seeing as you'd be doing it every day (i'm making some assumptions here, i know, but hey, weren't you also?)

(edit: i'm pretty sure the wafer thin kid isn't complaining about walking 5 miles a day - it's the people who know life can be better for them that are advocating for equality, hygiene, food and shelter for people like Wafer).
