my grandmother has what she calls her mobile phone - it has a very long lead which reaches from downstairs to upstairs. She's survived many years without having a clue what 'trip hazard' means

That's one of the reasons why I still have a clam shell phone. No bells and whistles. It makes a noise when you call me. I answer it. Problem solved.
