I grow tired of correcting English on this forum. I believe this sentence should say, "Ever since about 1994, my dear wife has given me reason to NOT stay sober." Please be careful to include complete sentences when posting to this forum.

I consider myself FAIRLY adept at "American English" grammar, but since we have other nations' vocabularies to consider, I merely ask if it correct and offer, "This is how it is HERE. Is it different THERE?"

If it is different THERE, I learn something new.
