Don't want to print duplicate names (1 Viewer)

How can I get one report for a student if he is in the database several times? I have tried UniqueValue, UniqueRecord, and hide duplicates. I could group on last name and put the field in a group header, but then I don't get all the "Smiths." I can't get a trim to succeed in a group header. This report prints the student's name on a preprinted timesheet.

Have you tried creating a new, temporary field to group by? I'd concatenate last name, first name, student ID and/or social security number, whatever it takes to make a person unique. You don't need to print this or do anything else with it, just have it control the grouping.
