Equality for women - has it gone too far?

Unfortunately the political environment across the planet meant most modern politicians are beset by rampant narcissism.

Actually Australia is one of the places very popular for trying out new technology. We tend to be early adopters.

have you got a new keyboard as I have noticed a lot of typos recently, especially teh instead of the, I'd change it if it can't type better than that.

Brian

Teh is a very common typo when keying at high speed. It will be a valid word in the language soon.

No two fingered typing - my right does the t, and the left has got to the e before my right gets to the h!

:-)

Sorry.- Post 17 s a shocker!

LOL, I'm cheating by browsing on an iPad, I had to work at typing teh as it was the first time and it wanted to correct it.

Whoops we have hijacked the thread. Dave must be disappointed.

Yeah I spotted it after posting.

This thread is moving at a great rate I post thinking I'm replying to a post and when it gets there there are several in between.

BTW I NEVER MADE IT TO 2 fingers , that's why I'm happy on the iPad except I forgot to cancel the caps. :D

Brian

You mean you don't already have it? I knew Australia was backward but didn't realise how far. ;)

Brian

We are not backward, just hard workers.

That is why Australians on working holidays in the UK get preference for jobs over the locals.

Brian I assume you are employed by the Government. Notice I used employed not work for.

I know all about you guys as I have watched "Yes Minister" and that can't be wrong. :) :D

I suspect that it may be more correct in principle than politicians would care to admit.

No I don't work for the government, I never did, and you may notice from my profile that I am retired, coming upto 7 years soon, which is why I don't post in the techy forums so much these days, I fear that my knowledge is not only rusty but what's left is a bit dated.

Cheers

I was just trying to be a bit jovial. I have recently retired and the memory is not like it used to be. The drugs I take are a bit strong so I tend to leave some threads alone.

Basically this thread is bullshit. It is just the governments looking for votes.

Deep down I believe in equality for women. I just hope that some day they can make up the difference. Then there would be no problem with equal pay.

ALso need include the double capitals at the beginning of a sentence into the modern grammar rules.

Last night I was talking with a friend in Australia online about the White Ribbon Campaign http://www.whiteribbon.org.au/, and they were asking if we also had it in Canada, which was peculiar because it started in Canada.

ALso, you should of mispelled grammer.

OTher new rules in teh online Engish ettiquette:

"mispelled"

improper use of "should of" for "should've."

:p

Honestly, that last one drives the Grammar Nazi inside me insane. I cannot stand the use of "of" for "-'ve" in any of its uses.

ALso, you should of mispelled grammer.

No, the meaning if that word is unknown among the masses so they never need to use it.

Beside in the new system it would be "gramma".
