I may not know alot about cars, but isn't the engine missing? I don't see the 'block'.

explenation to a red babe

The funny part is the red cable most to the right entering the cabin in stead of the ignition bobine ( don't know the English word for that) ;)

Loves explenations.... ;)

I didn't see the engine block. Hmmm, it must be a different type of engine that mine was.

distributor cap :)

- And the funny was that this high voltage wire should provide a shock to the occupant when they attempt to start the car... (I'm guessing...?)

Ok, translate the above for me. ;)

Second, I see that now. This engine is much different that I had. Mine was in sideways, so I was able to see everything quit easily.

I see the red wire coming from the distributor cap. I also spy the altenator there on the left front.

I could tell you what the parts were in my old plymouth. Simply because it was a piece of crap and I had to have it worked on all the friggin' time.

That was adorable, and very amusing at the same time. I wonder if I showed that pic to my OS instructor and explained why that is wrong, if he would give me extra credit. :D

And if I may clarify - The cable appears to go from the spark plug to firewall. This of course would not make sense as the spark plug cannot generate any current. So if I had to guess, I would say the cable running from the firewall actually goes to distributor cap which will provide the required current...

(Sorry to be picky...Are you still glad that there is someone that still gets this? :D )

Isn't it also a 4 cylinder? I only see for spark plugs.

At first glance it appears to come for the distributor cap, but if you look closely it appears to be coming from the 2nd sparkplug from the right.

Teehee...trying to soudn like I know what I am talking about...lol

You are correct and if I may; This engine is mounted 'sideways' as well...:)

That's called a transverse engine, a British innovation, copied by most motorcar manufacturers these days:p

That would explain why the altenator is in the same spot as mine. :p Mine also have a DOHC, as well as the manifold was very prominent. :D

Also, I'm short, I've never seen the motor from that angle. The person that took that pictrue appears to be looking at it from a high vangate point.
