Happy Birthday Brianwarnock!

Thanks a bunch everybody. Had a nice lazy day and a good meal , no not at Bistro Pierre but La Busola on Allerton Road, mind you my 8 oz fillet is not even a starter for Shane, I think he had a 24oz at the restaurant he took us to when we visited.
Ron we had a Chilean Cabinet Sauvignon, or 2. as one of my daughters and her partner came.

Brian

I reckon you're off to Bistro Pierre then ( Button Street) ? :D;)

QUOTE]

Ah! Button Street, The White Star, Tom the cellar man kept a great Mild, Gladys the bar maid looked after us . We drank in the back, a ring on the bell a wave to Gladys and the round was delivered. Great days of putting the world to rights. Look whats happened to it since.:D

Brian

I don't mean to burst your bubble Brian but trips to the Trafford centre don't really count as foreign holidays ;)
Chris

Oh! I dunno? They are a funny lot down that end of the M62.

8 OZ! That's only enough to get started. If that's all they would have given me, I would have been mad!:D

I think that I have given people the impression that I'm an alcoholic :D its not true, I can give it up easily if I want to, but at my age why bother. ;)
Brian

I know what you mean about giving people a certain impression about the drink. It is well known fact that my favorite drink is the White Russian. Every year for my birthday, my friends and family all get me the same thing. A bottle of Kahlua. NOT that I am complaining, mind you.... Last year I had 5 bottles given to me.... And they were "special" bottles.... you know.... shaped in some sort of ancient Aztec god. We had fun putting them in different poses.... conga lines.... worship circles, etc. My husband was lying on the floor one night and I arranged them around him to make it look like he was being sacrificed.... lol.... But the point I guess I'm making is... there's a lot more to me than Kahlua.

(I just can't think of anything else right now.)

That comment would explain why the USA is the most obese nation on the planet.

In the UK we eat in moderation - not to excess.

Pity the same can't be said for your ability to keep unsolicited opinions to yourself.
Thanks for raining on Brian's parade.

Dang, Col, you can't even allow a thread to have a little humor without taking a piss on it. Brian has met me, ask him if I'm obese.

So that's why obesity is increasing in the UK:rolleyes: Last time I was in Essex I saw many grossly overweight people. So I think there is a lot of excess eating.

Well now the government has extended the credit crunch, none of us will be able to afford luxury items like food soon anyway:eek:

Just for the record Shane is a big bloke, but he is not fat never mind obese, hey he drives a big vehicle, I think I might get my car in the back. :D

There you go Col something else for you to have a moan about.

Brian

Belated Best Wishes Brian, I stay clear of the watercooler nowadays but I didn't want to miss your birthday. I'll have a glass with you tonight.

Good to see the government is finally honouring one of its pledges - to combat obesity:D

but I'm not a Texan, I'm an Okie.:D The OU in my avatar stands for Oklahoma University.
Doesn't living in Texas make you a Texan though? Bush claimed to be one:eek::D

Of course, Col cannot resist another chance to jab at the US. Good job setting him up for that one, Shane.
